===i. The HW shall elect a Business Manager (BM)===
a) <ol style="list-style-type:lower-alpha"><li> The BM must attend at least half of the Society’s Major Eventsin any one year. He shall not also hold the position of Treasurer</li> b) <li> The BM will act as the Society’s sole Business Manager and itshall be his special responsibility to seek paid work for theSociety. He shall have the power to decide with which eventsthe Society shall involve itself and the amounts of payments,fees and expenses and/or non-monetary remuneration it shallreceive in respect of such work.</li> c) <li> He may appoint two Deputies, one to deal with public events,and one to deal with filmwork and other business. TheseDeputies shall enjoy the confidence of the HW.</li> d) <li> He shall not benefit financially from his activities as BMundertaken on behalf of the Society in any way that is notshared by other members of the Society.</li> e) <li> He shall not bear any financial risk or burden incurred in theperformance of his activities on behalf of the Society that is notwholly shared by all members of the Society and the Society willindemnify him against such risks.</li> f) <li> He shall have the power to decide that up to three Major Eventsin any one twelve month period shall be Charity Events,performed for no tangible reward.</li> g) <li> He shall liaise with the local group leaders and others on anongoing basis to gauge the opinion of the general membershipas to the type of work that the Society shall do.</li> h) <li> He shall work closely with the Treasurer to ensure that theSociety is properly funded from events, film-work and otherbusiness enterprises. At the discretion of the Society Treasurer,the BM may operate a cheque book on his single signature fromThe Society’s Operating Account. (see iii below)</li> i) <li> No member of the Society shall purport to represent the Society in anybusiness context, unless acting with the direct consultation and uponthe instruction of the BM</li> </ol>
