===4C. Membership Fees===
<ol style="list-style-type:lower-roman">
<li>i. Membership Fees fall due annually on the 1st of October. Fees mustbe mustbe paid to the local group by the 31st October; and to the Society’sMembership Officer by 15th November.</li>ii. <li> If a Member’s fees have not been paid by the 31st October, then thatmembership shall be deemed to have lapsed. Lapsed Members loseall rights, ranks, and officerships (both at group and Society level). Alocal group may not use the votes of Lapsed Members at the HighWitan.</li>iii. <li> Lapsed Members may only rejoin the Society through application to thelocal group from which they lapsed. The Society reserves the right,expressed through the relevant local group, to refuse such applicationwithout explanation. The local group shall inform the SocietyMembership Officer of the identity of any renewing lapsed memberupon their approval, and send their Capitation Fee within 14 days.</li>iv. <li> Lapsed Members who have rejoined the Society may have their groupranks, privileges and officerships reinstated at the discretion of therelevant group.</li>v. <li> After a period of 12 months a lapsed member must make a freshapplication to join the society through his local group.</li></ol>
===4D. Capitation Fees===
i. <ol style="list-style-type:lower-roman"><li> A proportion of the Membership Fee (the Capitation Fee) is sent,through the Group Treasurer, directly to the Society.</li>ii. <li> The Capitation Fee for each type of Membership is decided by theHigh Witan, and shall be subject to review and change by the HighWitan or those persons appointed by the High Witan to undertake sucha review.</li>iii. <li> Changes to Capitation Fees shall be notified to the Society’s membersby direct mailing, in such a form as may be thought suitable by theHigh Witan.</li>iv. <li> Persons applying to join the Society after 1st August will pay the wholeannual fee, but this shall be deemed to cover their Membership Fee forthe following year.</li>v. <li> Each local group within Regia shall pay the Capitation Fee for a newmember to the Society within fourteen days of receipt of that member’sMembership Fee and Membership Form, including photographs.</li>vi. <li> Membership of the Society shall commence from the date ofcompletion of the Membership Form, and of payment of theMembership Fee. A local group may only utilise the vote of a memberin the government of the Society after the Capitation Fee has beenreceived by the Society.</li>vii. <li> Membership may be terminated by written resignation addressed to thelocal group leader. A copy must be sent to the Society MembershipOfficer.</li>viii. <li> Membership may be terminated as the result of disciplinary action.</li>ix. <li> A local group shall immediately cease to exist if it has not paid any FullCapitation Fees to the Society Membership Officer by 15th Novemberunless the High Witan grants an extension.</li></ol> ===5. i. Any reference to land is an administrative format within the Society and
has no actual or legal bearing on ‘real property’
